Hat Topshop // jacket River Island // scarf Zara // dress Never Fully Dressed // boots Topshop (old) // bag Primark
Hope you like the lazy/cosy outfit, but this is more of a life update post. I've been a little MIA this week from all social media platforms and my blog as me and my boyfriend have split up for good which is never nice and all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and never get out of bed. But with the help of my wonderful girl friends, I'm managing to see the opportunities which lie ahead and I'm getting excited about a new chapter in my life! Two of them managed to get me decently dressed over the weekend, although as you can see this is such a comfortable outfit and all I wanted to do was hide away so I piled on the massive scarf and hat, and we went to our favourite pub in Stockbridge to have a couple of drinks and a good catch up.
I heard a quote from a guilty pleasure TV show I'm currently hooked on - "What's dead should stay dead. Didn't you see Pet Cemetery?" and that's kind of how I feel now. I should have never tried to resurrect a dead relationship, instead I wasted my energy fighting and brought back something which was just not right. Breakups are hard, and even harder when you believe it's for the long run, and you've gotta do what you gotta do to get over it (excuse for lay ins and a Ben&Jerrys overdose anyone?) I still love the guy, and I always will and that's what makes it ten times harder to accept that our story ends here but all good things come to an eventual end, right?
I'm done hiding now and as if by fate I've received several exciting e-mails about my blog and a possible career opportunity. I've got all the time in the world to concentrate on me, my blog, search for a job in the industry that I truly love, travel and meet new people. Spring season brings new life to this world every year and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead, so stick around - I'm sure there will be plenty of excitement :)
